 INDESCAT is the Catalan sports industry cluster. The Cluster's Mission is to bring together companies and research centres related to the world of sport, with the main objective of developing actions that improve companies' competitiveness, encouraging the development of innovative products and services. INDESCAT was born in 2009 from a strategic analysis on Catalan sports sector driven by the "Sports General Secretary" from "Generalitat de Catalunya", and funded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade. In 2010 the Cluster Strategic Plan ended up with the participation of more than 60 companies and research centres, INDESCAT was established and started developing the actions proposed. |
