Once again, INDESCAT participated in Cluster Day, the leading event for clusters in Catalonia, organized by ACCIÓ, which brought together more than 250 professionals from the cluster ecosystem. The event placed hybridization at the heart of business competitiveness and innovation.
Clusters have always been spaces of hybridization: sectors, value chains, business models, technologies, needs, and talents all mix together. Clusters are hybrid by definition, pure mixture. And this mix has never been as urgent as it is today.
The event featured a plenary talk by futurist K D Adamson, who highlighted that artificial intelligence can predict the future from the past, but adaptation and human talent are essential to turn knowledge into real impact.
In addition, Marc Canal, from the McKinsey Global Institute, presented for the first time the 18 businesses with the highest global growth potential until 2040, providing a strategic view of where opportunities will be concentrated in the coming years.
INDESCAT, together with the AMBIT cluster, led the session “Hybridize to Read the Future”, based on the LIVINGLAB-FIT project. This session demonstrated how futures methodologies allow anticipating scenarios, identifying trends, and making better decisions today, connecting sectors and business models to generate real innovation.
The event reinforced the importance of technology transfer and cross-sector collaboration to drive projects with triple impact: economic, social, and environmental. The LIVINGLAB-FIT project is a clear example, connecting the sports industry with the Living Spaces methodology to innovate from new perspectives.
