On January 30, we held a webinar as part of the ESMIS project on the rehabilitation of old sports facilities and energy efficiency, a session attended by almost 50 participants.
During the webinar, led by professionals from the Diputació de Barcelona, the main challenges of Catalan sports facilities were addressed: aging infrastructure and rising energy costs. Participants learned about real and applicable solutions to improve energy performance, reduce consumption, and extend the useful life of the facilities, while maintaining the quality of sports services.
The session combined an introduction to the ESMIS project, analysis of the current situation of Catalan facilities, technical solutions, and practical case studies. As a conclusion, tips and practical recommendations were shared for sector professionals, and the webinar ended with a Q&A session where participants could clarify doubts and exchange experiences.
The webinar was organized by the ESMIS project, with special attention to INDESCAT members of the Energy Efficiency working group, though it was also open to non-member professionals, giving priority to cluster members.
Additionally, we took the opportunity to announce the opening of registrations for the 13th EFISport session, offering attendees the chance to further explore energy efficiency in sports facilities.
