INDESCAT participated in the round table of the Sportnomia day, held on January 23, which brought together entrepreneurs and experts from the world of sports and the economy with the aim of detecting new business opportunities in this field.
The councilor for Economic Promotion and Innovation and president of TecnoCampus, Miquel Rey, and the deputy Joan Salom have highlighted the important market niche that exists in this area, which Sportnomia wants to take advantage of for the benefit of the territory in three areas: entrepreneurship, testing territory and technology transfer.
During the day, the attendees were able to know in detail these three areas through information booths located in the foyer, where personal interviews were also carried out among the attendees to detect work projects in common. Those interested in the InfoEmprèn Entrepreneurship program, a pioneer throughout the State and set up along with TecnoCampus, have until February 21 to present their projects.
The bulk of the day was held in the auditorium of the park's congress center, where Andrés de la Dehesa gave the inaugural speech, in which he highlighted the strong growth of the economy in the world of sports, led by large multinationals and by medium and large companies in Catalonia.
At the round table, Pompeu Fabra University professor Carles Murillo pointed out that sport can serve to give value to the tourism brand of a territory, while the manager of INDESCAT, Xavier Esteve, has indicated that the economic impact must be achieved thanks to the emergence and growth of companies. The marketing expert Raúl Ciprés added that the generation of content and events is key to the revitalization of the economy linked to sport.
