The auditorium of the Salt Campus of the University School of Health and Sport (EUSES) hosted the presentation of Fit&Fun Breaks, an initiative aimed at boosting sports tourism in the Girona region by combining sport, nature, gastronomy, and sustainable wellness experiences. The event featured the participation of Pere Vilà, manager of INDESCAT, who highlighted the project’s potential to generate synergies between sport, tourism, and territory, as well as the importance of promoting initiatives that help to reduce seasonality and diversify the sports tourism offer.

Igualada is committed to strengthening its sports ecosystem by supporting clubs, reducing bureaucracy, incorporating technology, and connecting with European projects, with the ambition of consolidating itself as an active, healthy, and innovative city. The long-term vision is to understand sport as a cross-cutting policy capable of generating a real impact on citizens’ quality of life.
