INDESCAT is committed to talent and innovation on the 2nd Day of the Entrepreneur in Sport

The Day of the Entrepreneur in Sport will celebrate its second edition this November 13 in the auditorium Cibernarium of Barcelona Activa. Leading experts in entrepreneurship, sports industry, technology and innovation will participate. Among them will be Xesco Espar, handball coach of FC Barcelona and specialist in leadership and team management, and Mounir Zok, who headed the technology department of the United States Olympic Committee and which is now promoted in Barcelona by N3xt Sports consultancy, focused on innovative projects in the sports field.

The day, which brings together the different agents linked to the industry and sports entrepreneurship (start-ups, companies, investors, entities, young people with an entrepreneurial spirit ...), will emphasize the technologies that are revolutionizing the sport business. Xavier Balius, director of Sciences, Medicine and Technology of the Center of High Performance of Sant Cugat, will speak about the relationship, increasingly narrow, between sport and innovation. There will also be a round table integrated by sports start-ups that are in different stages of evolution and that will talk about the keys to success in the sector.

Another central theme of Entrepreneur's Day will be financing, which is fundamental for any start-up. In the morning there will be a workshop on the investment process by Carlos Martínez (M & Partners), and in the afternoon the second edition of the Sports Investment Forum will take place. The selected start-ups will be able to present their projects to a group of investors interested in projects in the sports field.

On the other hand, ASICS will announce the first results of the TENKANTEN sport accelerator, located in Barcelona; N3xt Sports will present its business concept and INDESCAT will explain the activities of its entrepreneurship program.

We interview Paco Ruano, president of Lleuresport, a Barcelona-based organization with over 30 years of history that has firmly committed to a socially inclusive approach to sports management. “We’ve understood that we must actively reach out to those who face greater challenges accessing sports, not just wait for them to come,” says Ruano. His vision blends sustainability, technological innovation, and health, with initiatives like the creation of the Innovation Manager role and energy efficiency improvements in facilities. The organization is now fully focused on the sports sector, aiming to grow within the concession management field.
